Plastic surgery
is how I make a difference

Erik Jan Timmenga

With more than 25 years of experience in aesthetic surgery as a board-certified plastic surgeon, I bring together expertise, precision, and personal care. My patients appreciate the attentive guidance and the natural outcome of my procedures, especially in my area of specialisation: cosmetic facial corrections.

Clients place their trust in me and allow me to see their vulnerable side. I value being able to use my expertise to give them honest, reliable advice and, through surgery, enhance both their confidence and appearance. I truly enjoy dedicating myself to this work every day.

Facelift and face-necklift

The facelift is the most renowned procedure in the field of plastic surgery. It is a well-known term, but the techniques may vary. The purpose of the facelift is to give someone a fresher, younger appearance. The various methods, names, and abbreviations may sound complicated, but they are essentially the same: the movement of volume and lifting of the deeper layers of the face. Skill and an eye for aesthetics are key to a good result.

Upper and lower eyelid lift

Lower eyelid lifts are my primary expertise. Various contour abnormalities and forms of ageing all require their own surgical technique and approach. The procedure is sensitive to complications, but in experienced hands, the lower eyelid lift is safe.

An upper eyelid lift seems a simple procedure, but that is not always the case. In some cases, the eye muscle must be shortened; in other cases, an eyebrow lift is a better option. Another challenge can be the placement of the scars; these are often placed too high. An expert assessment, good advice and careful performance remain essential.

Eyelid correction or forehead lift

You have decided you need an eyelid lift. However, I may change your mind, suggesting a brow and forehead lift. You suffer from fatigue, strained eyes and headaches, and you get comments such as: "Why that angry look?” from those around you. These symptoms and comments will disappear after a brow lift, and you will look relaxed and well-rested.

Prominent ear correction or otoplasty

Prominent ears or jug ears are congenital, usually caused by an insufficiently formed crease in the cartilage. In some cases there is a larger angle between the head and the ear because the bowl-shaped cavity of the ear is too deep.

Rhinoplasty

In virtually all cases, the patient has been considering a rhinoplasty for many years. Patients often only require a modest adjustment, not a completely different nose. The nose's shape can be changed with some minor and inconspicuous adjustments that are hardly noticeable. The character of the patient's nose is preserved.

Chin correction

A chin correction improves your profile by creating the perfect balance of the chin, nose, lips and neck. Not enough chin, a chin that is not well enough defined or an overly protruding chin can bother people; it can make them insecure, especially when viewed or photographed from the side. Are you considering chin correction?
