Aesthetic means something like tasteful, a feeling for beauty, beautiful, or artistic. Aesthetic surgery is frequently translated as “beauty surgery”, but I prefer the term “shape correcting surgery”, because I feel it sounds less pretentious. I have to say that I am frequently disturbed by the images of beautiful women, who are used in advertisements. They pretend a perfection which does not represent reality. If you are that beautiful you do not require aesthetic surgery, and besides: it is impossible to change someone into a fashion model.
Shape correcting surgery strives to correct the harmony and normal proportions of the body. Something is noticeable when it disturbs the harmony within the normal proportions. In order to assess the disturbance of the harmony it is advisable to consider the body as a whole and moreover in consistency with one’s individuality and appearance.
A large nose can harm the appearance of one person but at the same time it can contribute to the appearance of someone else. The consistency with the personality has a lot to do with how you feel within yourself and with your sensitivity. In my experience people who have a problem with a physical asperity are on average generally more sensitive and frequently also more vulnerable.
This type of person you need to treat with care because she easily gets into suppression: a real danger in this time of commercialisation of medicine and in particular of aesthetic surgery.
